Border to Beaches Trail Project Coordination

Darcy Granove is currently the Project Coordinator for this project (2014-2015).

The Border to Beaches Trail is a 370 km long segment of the Trans Canada Trail (TCT), stretching from the Ontario border to Grand Beach Provincial Park. (and includes seven trail groups: South Whiteshell, Centennial Trail, North Whiteshell, Pinawa Trail, Blue Water South, Blue Water North and Red River North).

As a part of the Project Management team for Trails Manitoba, we work collaboratively with an existing project management team and supporting contractors to develop a critical path, ensure that deadlines in the critical path are met, communicate with project stakeholders individually, and through workshops, and negotiate with stakeholders, provincial departments, and municipalities for trail handovers.

The goal is a fully built high quality trail, winding 370km from the rugged terrain of eastern Manitoba to the sun and sand of Lake Winnipeg's beaches
